Restaurant & Cafe Phenix is the perfect venue with a unique atmosphere for a number of occasions, from informal outings with friends and family celebrations to serious-minded business meetings. Thanks to the superb cuisine, friendly staff and ingeniously designed interior everybody will have much to enjoy here.
The history of Phenix Café goes back to 2006, when the official foundations of this successful firm were laid. Then, on 15 July 2007, was the gala opening, with a view to keeping alive the philosophy and the culinary arts of the famous Czech restaurateurs and helping to raise the standard of gastronomic services in Prague.
Overseen by our executive chef, delicately balanced dishes are made in our kitchen, their preparation based on fresh ingredients and traditional recipes, and their serving following the principles of communal partaking, spiced with a dash of a modern approach and a few grains of original ideas. You will discover in our choice of menus not only a new point of view of the specialties of Czech cuisine but also some atypical elements of world cuisine. Depending on the season, you can look forward to special seasonal menus.
To make sure you thoroughly enjoy your dish, we carefully choose the drink to go with it, picking from our list of Czech and Moravian wines from small growers, such as Barabas, Volařik, Veverka, and Glos. We also serve liquors, such as cognac (Hennessy), single malt whisky (Laphroaig, Talisker, Oban), grappa (Marolo di Barolo) and gin (Tangueray).
Since we are well aware that in the absence of comfort not even the best meal or drink can do much, we commissioned the designer Otýlie Perglová to create for you a congenial and harmonious interior, in which you will savour everything. The sensitive combination of colours and materials is complemented by original statues of phoenixes by Stefan Milkov.
